Inspiring Hope Since 2007

Audra Lozano, LPC, RPT ™

I am a School Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Registered Play Therapist with a heart for helping children and families heal and grow. I earned a  Master’s Degree in Counseling from Sam Houston State University and have spent over 20 years walking alongside children, teens, and parents through life challenges

Before joining Counseling Connections for Change in 2018, I served families through other nonprofit work at The Bridge Over Trouble Waters, where I supported those impacted by domestic violence. Today, I create a safe, nurturing space where children can express themselves through play, art, and imagination. I practice Child-Centered Play Therapy with children ages 3-10 and enjoy incorporating creativity, empathy, and faith-based principles into my sessions. I also partner closely with parents to strengthen family bonds and encourage growth at home.

Each year, I attend The University of North Texas Summer Play Therapy Institute yearly to further my professional development and stay inspired by new ways to connect with children and teens. My gentle, joyful approach helps youth feel seen, valued, and supported as they discover their voice and resilience.
