What if I don’t Have Insurance or i can’t Afford Therapy?

Don’t let the question of insurance keep you from reaching out.

We offer sliding scale options based on financial need and
availability. Reduced-fee sessions are often available with our
supervised master’s-level clinicians.

What if I feel nervous or unsure about therapy?

You’re not alone—many people feel this way.

Our counselors understand that opening up can take time. We’ll meet you where you are, move at a pace that feels right for you, and create a space where you feel safe, respected, and heard.

How do I get started?

Begin by completing our Online Client Inquiry Form. This is the first step in our intake process and allows our Intake Team to learn more about your needs. Once we’ve reviewed your submission, we’ll contact you to guide you through the next steps, including scheduling an Administrative Intake Appointment where we’ll review your information, discuss your counseling needs, verify insurance or other payment options, and help match you with the provider and services that best fit your needs.

If additional information is needed at any point during the process, we’ll let you know and walk you through each step. Our goal is to make getting connected to counseling as simple, supportive, and stress-free as possible.

Can I stop therapy if I change my mind?

Yes.

Participation in counseling is voluntary, and you may withdraw your consent for services at any time by providing written notice. If you choose to discontinue services, we’re happy to discuss any questions, provide referrals when appropriate, and support you through the transition.

How do cancellations work?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, including same-day cancellations and missed appointments (no-shows), are subject to a non-refundable $75 Late Cancellation Fee.

You may cancel your appointment by contacting us, leaving a voicemail, sending an email to info@counselingconnections.org, or through your secure patient portal. If an unexpected emergency prevents you from keeping your appointment, you may request that the late cancellation fee be waived.

This policy helps us make appointments available for other clients who are waiting to receive care and supports our commitment to providing timely access to counseling services.
