Keyah Seedanee

I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown with my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology in 2013. I received my Master’s of Science in Counseling from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2016. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern & certified Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) provider. Counseling has been a passion of mine for many years. I thoroughly enjoy working one-on-one with clients to help them achieve their goals. My primary goal is to empower the client to overcome their personal obstacles and thrive. I am very passionate about what I do and I tailor my therapy services according to the needs of the client. Seeing clients succeed and make positive changes in their lives is one of my biggest desires. As a Christian, I believe that all clients deserve to feel comfortable, respected and understood. I am open to incorporating and discussing religion with clients at their own comfort level and request. I openly welcome diversity and do not impose my personal beliefs on clients.

I have experience providing individual & group counseling to children, adolescents, adults and families. During my 2 years of practicum and additional 2 years as a Clinician II with a non-profit organization, I gained counseling experience in the following areas: parenting, stress management, anxiety, depression, anger management, life skills, communication and family dynamics.

In my spare time I enjoy making memories with my husband, family & friends. I also enjoy trying new foods and traveling.

I believe that every individual needs the opportunity to work through their thoughts, feelings and emotions in a safe, non-judgmental space. I strive to provide this opportunity for every client that I work with.
