We Believe Mental Health Matters!
In working with youth and families for the past 5 years I’ve come to learn that love truly conquers all. My passion for helping individuals to overcome various challenges has afforded me the opportunity to be a part of the transformational process that takes place in people lives. When clinical skills and compassion come together lives really do change.
Meeting my client at their place of need is where I start. Utilizing the latest evidence-based practices and leaving room for the presence of God is my approach to therapy. Having a background in case management has helped to shaped my understanding of the various dynamics that often impact an individual and the family unit. I am trained in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Christian Counseling, EMDR, and Structural Family Therapy. I use creativity to foster engagement and to make the therapeutic process more enjoyable. I have experience working with adolescents and adults treating conduct disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, oppositional defiance, identity confusion and mood disorders, etc..
I am currently a student at Dallas Theological Seminary, pursuing a Master’s of Christian Education. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Social work from Georgia State University and my Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I am the founder of The DICE Program (Dynamik Identities Christ Empowered) which is a faith-based program that helps teens girls and women to better understand their identity in Christ.
Faith, Family, & Purpose are my top three values. I am blessed to be the wife of a wonderful husband, we have a very lovable and intuitive Maltese dog. I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, spending time in nature and listening to music.
