We Believe Mental Health Matters!
Sharon McNair, TBRI Practitioner
I am a student intern from the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Houston. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Psychology, and I have a Master’s Degree in Educational Management from UH-Clear Lake. Having served children and families of Brazoria County through the child welfare system for over 15 years, I am very interested in the effects trauma has on the brain and want to continue working with children and adolescents who have experienced chronic or significant trauma. I believe that trauma can be healed through trust and nurturing, healthy connections and am committed to working with families to ensure they are equipped with the tools needed to create a place of healing for traumatized children.
I believe each of us was uniquely created as a person of value and worth and strive to help others find their purpose. How I make someone feel through my interactions can provide a pivotal moment in the life of that person and in how they see themselves. I want to be remembered for the way I made others feel. I am married to a supportive, kind and loving husband who is my biggest cheerleader. I enjoy traveling, studying God’s Word, and being creative through art and music.
