Stephanie Kopecky

I am a licensed professional counselor and a certified school counselor since 2009. I earned my undergraduate degree in General Studies in Music, Psychology and Behavioral Science at Texas Tech University. After teaching Elementary music, choir and dance in Gadsden ISD New Mexico, I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Masters of Education in School Guidance and Community Counseling. I served as a college counselor and administrator at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. I’m an experienced psychotherapist in both group and private practice from Southern Brazoria County.

My specialties in counseling include: career development, grief and divorce, chronic illness and lifestyle management, stress management, improving interpersonal relationships, reducing post traumatic stress, and overcoming codependency. Healing, guidance and emotional relief are what you can expect from my counseling services.

I value education, holistic health and personal growth. My compassionate, evidence-based approach to counseling is customized to fit the individual needs of my client. I believe in the divine hope, peace and joy that God provides, especially in the most difficult times. I have experience working with people from various faiths and diverse backgrounds.

When I’m not counseling, I enjoy relaxing, traveling, my faithful pomeranians and ballroom dancing. I am very close with my family and friends. I am blessed!
