Jocelyn Archer

Clinical Intern

My name is Jocelyn Archer and I am a Clinical Social Work Intern. I currently hold a position as a QMHP at a crisis hotline, but I have also worked in residential treatment, marketing & community engagement, intake and assessment, and in a substance use treatment program. Additionally, I have a BA in both Psychology and English.

As a psychology major, my interest and love for mental health, learning about mental illnesses, treatments, and theory were satisfied. However, I found the focus on the problem and not the person to be a missed opportunity.

Now, I am able to prioritize the individual and their lived experience. Empathy, autonomy, and self-determination are some aspects of social work that I carry in my practice and personal values. And best of all, I am still able to learn the psychological aspects of mental health as well through social work.

I look forward to finding myself as a clinician and happy to be at CC4C as a part of that journey!
