I am excited to be a part of the Counseling Connections team.  I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I graduated from Liberty University with a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Mental Health has been given much attention as of late; however, the stigma of mental health still exists.  I hope to reduce that stigma one encounter at a time.  Counseling chose me through interactions with children for 16 years as a school bus driver.  I saw many children go to school without proper winter clothing or lunch.  I often sat and listened as children tearfully recounted difficulties at home.  I knew I was ill equipped to help them through those issues and vowed to get equipped. The theories I gravitate towards are person centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I am also a SYMBIS facilitator and can assist couples with identifying areas in relationships that they can utilize their different styles to bring a well-rounded wholeness to their relationship. I look forward to gaining your trust to walk beside you through your mental health journey.

When I am away from the office, I enjoy spending my time with friends and family.  I also spend a lot of time with my dog.  I enjoy fishing any chance that I can get.  I also enjoy working on vehicles, doing a puzzle, or reading a good book.
