We Believe Mental Health Matters!

Michelle Masterson

Clinical Intern

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southwestern Seminary. I am currently working on a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Baptist University. At this point in the program, I am so thankful to be part of the team at Counseling Connections!

For the past 18 years, I have been working in ministry where I see the need for mental health counseling every single day. I am thankful my church acknowledges, values, and recognizes the biblical basis of caring for mental health needs. Upon licensure, I hope to expand the care we are able to offer our community in that arena. I look forward to applying methods from marriage and family counseling and cognitive-behavioral counseling, but will use the techniques and methods that will best serve each client. I anticipate my clientele including adolescents, individuals, couples, and families.

I love spending time with my husband: watching TV or a movie, checking out a new restaurant (often sushi), going to an Astros or Rockets game (preferably when they play the Mavs), or even just going on an HEB date.
